Virgin vs. Mated queen

  There has been some interest in seeing the difference between virgin and mated queens. I had the opportunity to snap a few pictures of both, so I figured I would share them.

Blue Pollen ?!?!

Alive hives

I keep thinking that there is going to be another cold snap that manages to kill one or both hives. Yet they both keep thriving. I still think there is a chance for starvation if a long cold snap occurs.
